THE RESPIRATORY SYSTEM
The respiratory system is what allows us to breathe. The major organs in this system are the Nose, Mouth, Pharynx, Larynx, Trachea, Bronchi, and Lungs. The respiratory system allows gas exchange which is important to us humans and as well as animals for us to stay alive. The respiratory brings oxygen into the body and brings carbon dioxide out of the body. Before air reaches the lungs, it must first be processed (filtered out by the lungs, cleaned by the lungs, moistened by the lungs, and warmed by the lungs.) to avoid infection. The air we breathe in contains dust particles and bacteria and could carry diseases and pollutants that could damage our lungs and as well as our health.
